Nishimachi International School was established in 1949.Nishimachi offers a unique, dual-language program in English and Japanese for all students in kindergarden, although the overall curriculum is based on an American model, components from various sources have been blended into the instructional program to provide a wider range of academic experiences. All subjects, with the exception of the Japanese language and Japanese social studies, are taught in English.
